About Us:
Amanda-Lyn Smith RMT
In 2000, Amanda Graduated from The Massage Therapy program at The Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in Newmarket Ontario. After less then three years of practice Amanda opened The Massage and Treatment Clinic in 2003 with Julie Tessier Woodcock. During the years she has been practicing she has taken her certification in Ultrasound, The Muscle Energy Techniques workshops (Cervical and Lumbar/Pelvis) and volunteered for several charity events. Amanda prides herself on her deep tissue techniques, open, friendly and professional relationships with her patients and enjoys specializing in Sports and Chronic conditions.
Amanda's goals in the next few years are to expand her level of expertise by taking a teaching course in pediatric and infant massage, hoping to hold workshops for parents teaching at home techniques with their kids, to focus on Oncology Specialization and expanding the clinic. In Amanda's spare time she is an avid traveller, plays volleyball, cycles and participates in the dragon boat races as well as having a strong interest in photography.
Julie Tessier-Woodcock Bsc, RMT
In 2001, Julie graduated from The Massage Therapy program at the International Academy of Massage in Ottawa Ontario. Before completing her massage diploma, Julie graduated from The University of Ottawa receiving a degree in Human Kinetics in 1998. Julie also received over 13 years of experience managing a multimillion dollar company. Julie has worked along side with triatheletes and competitive runners (running being a passion of hers). For four months Julie also worked in a Physiotherapy Clinic where she learned and practiced such modalities as Ultrasound and use of Muscle stimulators. In 2003, after less then two years of practice Julie opened The Massage and Treatment Clinic with Amanda-Lyn Smith. Julie prides herself on her deep tissue techniques and work with Atheletes along with a love of giving Pregnancy Massage. In future she is looking forward to expanding her clinic as well as increasing her skills and knowledge in Acupuncture and Infant massage. In Julies spare time she loves spending time with her growing family, runs regularily to burn off steam and enjoys painting when time permits.
Ranguel Ivanov RMT
In 2003, Ranguel Graduated from The International Academy of Massage (with Honours), and became an RMT. Ranguel is specialized in using the technique of Acupressure which involves the concepts of Acupuncture but without needling. Ranguel knows how important it is to get his patients involved with their own recovery therefor he has a vast knowledge of remedial exercises and stretches that he encourages his patients to do, speeding up their recovery time from injury. Ranguel's strengths are with his deep tissue treatments and love of working with sports related and overuse injuries. Ranguel is originally from Bulgaria and is an avid soccer player. Before coming to Canada Ranguel was a Mechanical Engineer
Tina Rodrigue Bsc, RMT
In 1997, Tina graduated from Sutherland-Chan Massage Therapy College in Toronto Ontario. Before completing her massage diploma Tina explored her love of animals by graduating in 1995 from The University of Guelph, recieving a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Biology. Over the years Tina has taught several Massage Therapy courses and volunteered her expertise at various events. Tina's professional career began in Brampton Ontario for her first seven years until her husbands job brought her to Orleans in 2004, being the same year she started her family.
Tina's Career focus has changed slightly for the time being meaning full time mother, part time Massage Therapist but her love for the profession and the patients she deals with has never altered. Tina considers herself to be a therapist who balances her techniques of relaxation intermixed with treatment to primary injuries or sources of pain and can shift depending on the needs of the patient. Tina is passionate about working with people suffering from Fibromyalgia, Depression, Cancer and Arthritis. Tina feels she is thankful and appreciates the positive work environment The Massage and Treatment Clinic provides her. Tina feels confident that even though her schedule is limited she knows her patients will be in good hands if they have to see any of the other therapists working within The Massage and Treatment Clinic.
Local Charities The Massage and Treatment Clinic has Participated in Helping:
  • St. Peter Catholic High School (helped raise money for Return to Vimy trip for 90th anniversary)
  • Orleans-Cumberland Community Resource Centre (helped raise funds for funding shortfall)
  • Jeun'Espoir Jamaique (helped raise money for Orleans group to improve aid in Third world country)
  • Relay for Life Orleans for The Canadian Cancer Society (offered free massage to participants)
  • Queenswood United Church fundraiser
  • Dunning Foubert 25th Anniversary fundraiser
  • Easter Seal Society (raising funds)
  • Massage-a-thon at St. Laurent shopping centre raised money for the people of Nepal
  • Raising money for The Canadian Cancer Society
  • Raising money for The Gloucester Rangers Minor Midget "AA" Hockey Team
